LAY MEMBERS

The Artist Members of the RSMA are dedicated to celebrating the sea in all its aspects - the element itself, its ships and vessels, its coastal scenes, its birds and creatures.  We are not bound by any restrictions as to subject, style or medium, and every year our Lay Members enjoy exhibitions notable for their vigour, variety, and freshness.  Lay membership of the RSMA costs £20 per annum (£18 if paid by direct debit) and gives the following benefits:

* Lay members are guests of the Society at an exclusive preview of the Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries with the Lay members party.  It pre-dates the Private View enabling those present to be the first to view the show and more importantly have first pick of the paintings.

* A prize draw offers 2 prizes at the Lay Members evening of £250 each against the purchase of a painting.

* Free admission and free catalogue to the Annual Exhibition, and to any other exhibitions during the course of the year.

* Free invitations for you and your guests to the Private View.

* The Society's Newsletter bringing information about the artists, their work and travels, and details of all exhibitions.

LAY MEMBERS PAINTING GROUP

One of our Lay-members, Brian Aldrich, has launched an outdoor painting group.  The group has been established to meet on a regular basis during the spring and summer at a marine location on the Thames, on the Suffolk or Essex coast or estuaries, and possibly at similar locations elsewhere in the south and south-east.  The group would welcome more participants - to find out more contact us via info@rsma-web.co.uk and we'll put you in touch.
