EXHIBITION IN CORNWALL  RSMA Members' work is currently on show at an exhibition at the Little Picture Gallery in Mousehole which continues until August 9th.  More details are available on the gallery website at www.thelittlepicturegallery.net  

ALAN SIMPSON RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION  Alan Simpson RSMA was a prominent Member of the RSMA, served as Treasurer, and was perhaps best known for his stunning watercolours.  He was also a very popular and sadly missed tutor.  Kendall's Fine Art based in Cowes on the Isle of Wight are staging a retrospective exhibition of Alan's work which will open on the 15th of August with some 50 - 60 paintings on view.  Further details can be viewed on www.kendallsfineart.co.uk

THE RSMA ANNUAL EXHIBITION  The Annual Exhibition of the RSMA is held in October and is open to work by non-members.  Dates this year are :-

Receiving days - 12th and 13th of September

Private View - 14th October

Normal opening - 15th - 26th October

Because this is an open exhibition we welcome entries from non-members and every year there are hundreds of works submitted for consideration by the Selection Committee and those selected are hung in the Mall Galleries alongside the work of Members.  Entry forms and details are available from the Mall Galleries www.mallgalleries.org.uk

HOLLAND 2009  Plans are in hand for a show featuring a number of RSMA Members at the Scheepskamer van Heeg Gallery in 2009.  Some Members have already been over to Holland to paint on location and pictures of their visit can be seen on the gallery website at www.scheepskamer.nl
